NEWS FLASH: VAR has released an official comment about Gabriel Jesus’ goal that was called back against Ipwish. Well done, Arsenal fans!

A 1-0 win over Ipswich Town at home on Friday night made it 17 games without a loss at Emirates Stadium.

Leandro Trossard’s cross put us ahead, and Kai Havertz scored. We kept our lead and kept a clean sheet.

Trossard started the game on the left wing and looked lively right away. He took a shot that hit Kalvin Phillips and went out for a corner after William Saliba started a move.

Next, Jurrien Timber was very brave and bold to break the lines and lead us forward, hitting straight at Arijanet Muric.

We scored our first goal in the 23rd minute. Havertz couldn’t miss when Trossard passed the ball to him, and he smashed it into the roof of the net.

Declan Rice shot from far away but just missed the post. Trossard then found Gabriel Jesus on the run and he played the ball to Martinelli. After the second player touched the ball over the line, the flag was raised for Jesus for being offside.

At the start of the second half, we kept trying to score another goal. Phillips fouled Rice on the edge of the area, and Martin Odegaard’s free kick went straight into the wall.

When Phillips sent a free kick into the box, Rice headed it over for an Ipswich corner, which put us under some pressure. But we answered with a nice passage of play at the other end involving Trossard, Odegaard, and Havertz, which led to a corner.

The next set piece came from Rice, and Gabriel’s header just missed the far post.

Jesus was taken off with just under 20 minutes left, and Mikel Merino came on in his place. Odegaard then worked his way into the 18-yard box and fired the ball, but Muric tipped it over the bar.

The corner kick from our captain was then sent to Rice, who hit it hard at goal but Dara O’Shea blocked it.

Odegaard kept things moving when he set up Merino, who made Muric make a good save. On the next play, Odegaard shot high and wide.

With four minutes left, Mikel Arteta replaced Rice with Thomas Partey.

A late cross from Omari Hutchinson was caught by David Raya, who took away the threat. In extra time, Nathan Broadhead had time and room to take a shot, but Havertz blocked it, which meant we won all three games.
