“I have to give him flowers for the great game against Ipwish last night; he was really great.”- Arsenal Martin De Gaad, the captain, was quick to give his flowers to the amazing Arsenal star who won all of his duels against Ipwish last night. Not Martinelli and Not Trossard

Ipswich Town lost to Arsenal 1-0 at Emirates Stadium in a dull Premier League home game. The first half was all Gunners, and Kai Havertz put them ahead when he rose to meet Leandro Trossard’s low cross.

Even though they had the ball most of the time, they only managed four goals. They were almost ahead by two when Gabriel Jesus’ fine finish was called offside.

In the second period, there were more shots, but the game didn’t get any more exciting as it dragged on to a close. Arsenal got three points from a game that no one will remember for long. This moves them at least one step closer to Liverpool in the title race. Here’s how football.london rated each Gunners player during the game.

David Raya: Didn’t have much to do all night because Ipswich barely tried to score. When he was needed, he did a good job of being sweep. 6.

Timber from Jurrien: In the first half, they went forward without thinking as Arsenal set up a new right side combo. When needed, they defended well. 7

William Saliba: Delap has been tough for many center backs this season, but Saliba mostly did a good job with him. 7.

Gabriel: He really should have scored another goal from a corner kick, but he missed by a yard. Besides that, they defended well. 6.

Myles Lewis-Skelly: This is a sure choice for him to keep his job. Most of the time, they defended well and were sure they had the ball. A few fights with Ipswich players that fans at home would love. 7.

Declan Rice: The Arsenal midfielder set up the game well from the back. Almost scored a great strike. The England player put on a good show and once again showed how versatile he is. 7.

John Martin Odegaard: Moved the ball forward well and gave Arsenal a bit of zip on a night when they were often slow in the closing third. Some good corner throw to take Saka’s place as well. 7.

Kai Havertz: Got his second in as many games. From center, he can get past Jesus to score those kinds of goals. Good show all around, but it could have had more. 7.

Gabriel Martinelli: For the most part, did well on the right wing. Hit Davis a few times to make some good throws. 7.

Gabriel Jesus: He was everywhere in the first half and kept getting the ball back. It was too bad that a great finish was called off for offside. Arsenal wasn’t as strong in the second half, so it faded a bit. 7.

Leandro Trossard: Used a perfect wing play to set up the game-winning goal. Not very busy on the night besides that, but still made a big difference. 7.

OTHER CHOICES –

Mikel Merino: After coming on in the middle, he added some defending strength. He also had some zip in the final third, where he made Muric make a good save. 7.

Thomas Partey: They came on too late to get a. n/a.
