OFFICIAL NOW: Arsenal look to have completed their first January deal of the season as player was sighted at London Conley signing Autographs for Arsenal fans – Congratulations Arsenal fans

Arsenal are apparently prepared to put their best efforts in to recruit Newcastle United’s in-form striker Alexander Isak, as per Spanish publication Fichajes.

After joining the Magpies from Real Sociedad back in 2022, the Swedish international helped his club finish in the top-four in his inaugural campaign in the Premier League.

The Tyneside team couldn’t recreate the same achievement in the league previous term but Isak demonstrated his goal-scoring skills, scoring 21 goals and registering two assists.

Now, the 25-year-old had a sluggish start to this season but has been in terrific form in recent times, producing 16 goal contributions in 17 league games. He has netted against Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal thus far this season.

Fichajes believe that Arsenal want to construct a squad to eventually win the Premier League title and have realized they need a new prolific goal-scorer.

Isak to Arsenal
Mikel Arteta has earmarked Isak as a ‘ideal’ target thus the North London club are ready to go ‘all out’ to get him to the Emirates Stadium next year.

However, getting him won’t be easy as Newcastle don’t want to lose him just yet as he still has a contract until 2028. Howe’s team would only decide to change their stance should they get an offer of about £124m.

Isak has been progressing day by day and has started exhibiting indicators that he is near to fulfilling the enormous potential that he displayed throughout the early stages of his career.

The 25-year-old is a centre-forward by characteristics and can also give cover in wide areas if needed. He is swift, robust, proficient in aerial duels, technically adept, capable of maneuvering past defenders in confined spaces, effective in penalty execution, and composed in goal-scoring situations.

Isak is a player with proven Premier League experience, making him an excellent acquisition for Arsenal if they secure his transfer. It will be intriguing to observe whether the North London team ultimately succeeds in acquiring his services to bolster the striker position.

Subsequently, after Nottingham Forest’s triumph against Everton last weekend, Arsenal has fallen to third place in the league and will want to reclaim the second spot by overcoming Brentford tomorrow.
