A ‘gentleman’s agreement’ has the potential to unlock a £20 million signing for Arsenal.

According to rumors, Arsenal is giving serious consideration to making a move for a midfielder who is valued at £20 million. Although the player has been given permission to depart through a “gentleman’s agreement,” a transfer might be disastrous for the season of his current club.
Mikel Arteta has claimed that Arsenal are keeping an eye out for opportunities during the winter transfer window and that they would not be afraid to make a move if the conditions of the situation are favorable.
Many members of the Arsenal faithful are holding out hope that the club will make a significant addition to the attacking line. Despite the fact that Alexander Isak of Newcastle is the club’s top striker target, a January transfer is extremely unlikely to occur due to the Swede’s worth of more than one hundred million pounds and Newcastle’s strong unwillingness to consider selling.
On the other hand, a new acquisition on the wings to give cover for the injured Bukayo Saka could be on the table, while a recent report from FootballTransfers suggests that the center midfield could be bolstered.
It has been asserted that Arsenal has residual concerns regarding the futures of both Jorginho and Thomas Partey, both of whom are above the age of 30.
In an interview that took place the previous week, Arteta disclosed that Arsenal does not plan to address the futures of the midfield combination until more advanced in the season. Jorginho, who is 33 years old, and Partey, who is 31 years old, are both in the final six months of their respective contracts.
“I don’t want to start to have these conversations now; I want to have these conversations much later because the focus needs to be on what we have to do in the season,” Arteta stated (as quoted by The Evening Standard). “I want to have these conversations much later.” Once they have a better understanding of the intentions, we will be able to determine what we can do.
“It is important to maintain close connection with them in order to gain an understanding of what their idea is and what they want to accomplish. We should also explain our goals, and then we should decide for everyone what the best alternative is in that situation.
On the other hand, there are two players with whom I am really content. In the team, they are such an asset to the group. And I want to make sure that they are also in the appropriate frame of mind since the most crucial portion of the season is about to begin right now.
According to FootballTransfers, Arsenal are evaluating Jobe Bellingham, who is now playing for Sunderland. This is in response to the uncertainty that surrounds the futures of Jorginho and Partey in north London.
The younger brother of Jude Bellingham, Jobe, is said to have reached a “gentleman’s agreement” with Sunderland when he signed a new contract in August. Jobe is also the younger brother of Jude Bellingham.
It has been asserted that the unofficial agreement “permits him to leave for a Premier League club in the event that a suitable offer comes up.”
A separate report from talkSPORT stated that Sunderland has placed a value of twenty million pounds on Bellingham. This information pertains to the topic of what constitutes a “suitable offer.”
It is possible for Arsenal to outbid Tottenham for Jobe Bellingham.
Fraser Fletcher, a transfer insider for TEAMtalk, has been informed that Tottenham, a rival club that is bitterly opposed to Bellingham, is also interested in the player.
On the other hand, it is our understanding that Spurs are prepared to wait until the summer, as the center midfield position is not one of the four areas that they are looking to bolster this month.
As a result, and if Arsenal were to make a bid during the winter transfer window, they would not only be able to acquire one of the most promising young midfielders in the country, but they would also be able to prevent their immediate neighbors from achieving a transfer coup of their own.
In the event that Sunderland does follow through with the alleged “gentleman’s agreement” and make a profit off of the 19-year-old, we have been informed in a reliable manner that they would MUCH rather sell the player in the summer than in January.
In light of the fact that Sunderland are now in the midst of a promotion campaign and Bellingham is an essential component of their starting eleven, this stance is very comprehensible.
The team coached by Regis Le Bris is currently in fourth place in the Championship table, less than three points behind Leeds United, who are in first place. In the event that Sunderland is unable to achieve automatic promotion, they should at the very least receive a spot in the play-offs.
Throughout this season, Bellingham has started every single league match that he has been able to participate in, and he has consistently played the full 90 minutes.
Because of the midfielder’s outstanding performance at the club level this season, he was given the opportunity to make his debut for England at the Under-21 level in the month of November.
