Euro Paper Talk: Man Utd midfielder reunion blocked as second signing is snuffed out by Romano; Tottenham deal for £21.3m LaLiga star confirmed

There have been two midfielder transfers that have been denied by Manchester United. The Red Devils have blocked multiple approaches to recruit a free agent, Tottenham has stated that they have reached an exclusivity contract for a classy United States midfielder, and Barcelona has agreed to an out-of-window free transfer signing of a juvenile winger.
The chance to reunite with Amarbat at Man United Stadium was denied to Ten Hag.
Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, was prevented from re-signing Sofyan Amrabat this summer due to persistent rumors that not all of the players at Old Trafford were convinced by the Moroccan player.
The midfielder initially moved to Old Trafford from Fiorentina during the summer of last year on loan for the season. Manchester United paid €10 million (£8.5 million or US$11 million) for the pleasure of bringing him to Old Trafford. The agreement included a provision that would allow the change to be made permanent and would be worth €20 million (£17 million or US$22 million) if all Amrabat were to be successful.
On the other hand, the 28-year-old player had a difficult time keeping up with the rapid pace of the Premier League and found himself in and out of the United squad throughout the course of the season.
And despite the fact that he had some strong performances at the conclusion of the season, which contributed to the club’s victory in the FA Cup, the decision was made by United officials that they would not be exercising the option to make the agreement permanent.
La Viola then contacted United to lessen their demands, offering first the opportunity to sign the player on a reduced sum and then, more recently, on another season-long loan. This was after La Viola had returned to the Serie A side and subsequently learned that he had no future there.
Furthermore, although Ten Hag was eager to take up the suggestion, not all of the employees at Old Trafford shared the manager’s vision for the club.
Due to the fact that United had already spent more than £180 million (€214 million or US$236 million) on five new players, the club’s executives believed that the addition of Amrabat was not required, which appeared to put a stop to Ten Hag’s proposal.
The journalist Andy Mitten made the following statement while he was participating in the Talk of the Devils podcast: “Erik ten Hag wanted Amrabat for this season.”
It’s okay that that didn’t take place because of the conversation that took place within the company. The current method of operation for Manchester United is as follows:
Amrabat was eventually successful in securing a loan move, and he signed with Fenerbahce, which is managed by Jose Mourinho. Ironically, Fenerbahce will also now be playing United in the group stage of the Europa League.
United, on the other hand, have also turned down the opportunity to sign Adrien Rabiot this summer, and the player is now expected to make a surprise move instead. Fabrizio Romano has been speculating about the possibility of Rabiot joining Manchester United.
Rabiot’s mother and agent, Veronique, is a free agent who left Juventus at the end of the season. It is believed that Veronique has had negotiations with a number of Premier League clubs over the possibility of a free transfer move for Rabiot.
Indeed, a number of clubs, including Newcastle, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, and United, were among those that were rumored to be interested in the player.
In the end, however, the 29-year-old midfielder is still a free agent. However, reports that have surfaced in the past twenty-four hours have strongly suggested that a move to Old Trafford after the deadline is still a possibility. The Red Devils may be looking for a replacement for Christian Eriksen, who is expected to leave the club. Anderlecht, a club from Belgium, is believed to be the team that is driving the team’s pursuit of the seasoned Dane.
The reputable transfer journalist Romano, on the other hand, is sure that a move to Old Trafford is not in the cards, despite the fact that there have been multiple possibilities to sign the France international who has been capped 48 times.
“Guys, I can guarantee to you that Adrien Rabiot was offered to Manchester United several times over the summer, in July, and in August,” Romano said in a video that he uploaded to his YouTube account.
The position of Manchester United, on the other hand, is still extremely clear with regard to that matter. However, they never considered the possibility of Rabiot replacing Eriksen.
Due to the fact that no club in mainland Europe is able to meet Rabiot’s wage demands, it is now believed that the player has reached an agreement to make a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia. At Al-Nassr, he will be able to play with Cristiano Ronaldo, who was a colleague of his before at Juventus.
