Manchester United has extended Amad Diallo’s contract through 2030.

One of the players who has impressed the most under new manager Ruben Amorim is Amad, who has made 50 appearances for United. The 22-year-old winger has six goals this season, including a game-winning goal against Manchester City and a late equaliser in Sunday’s thrilling 2-2 draw against Liverpool, United’s bitterest rivals.

“I am really proud to have signed this new contract,” Amad stated. Even though I’ve already experienced some amazing moments with this club, there are still a tonne more to come. I want to make history at Manchester United, and I have high goals for the game.

“I am really appreciative of the coaches and staff who have helped me grow, as well as the fans who motivate me every day. Since coming here four years ago, I have learnt a lot.

“Everyone has had a challenging season, but I am convinced that we are headed in the right direction and that the future will be truly remarkable. I’m willing to sacrifice everything to support the team and restore the pride of our supporters.

“Everyone is thrilled with Amad’s development; his quality on the ball, versatility, and determination make him a key part of Manchester United’s future,” stated Jason Wilcox, technical director of Manchester United.

“We all look forward to helping Amad realise his enormous potential and succeed at the club in the upcoming seasons, as he has the best years of his career ahead of him.”

Amad began the season with the team under former United manager Erik ten Hag, but the Dutchman fired him in October after he became dissatisfied with his lack of playing time.

The 2022–23 season saw the Ivory Coast international score 14 goals in 42 appearances for the Mackems, following successful stints on loan at Rangers and Sunderland.
