This season, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has predominantly employed a defensive formation consisting of four players at the back.

The central defender has recently provided an interview to the club’s official website about his experience playing in the assigned position and tactical scheme.

Chalobah initially pursued a career as a midfielder, but following a conversation with Chelsea icon Claude Makelele, he transitioned to playing as a centre-half.

Following a period of absence due to injury, Chalobah has recently been given significant playing opportunities by Pochettino. The individual who is 24 years old has participated in each of the last four matches of the Blues.

Trevoh Chalobah is at ease playing in the central position of a defensive trio.
Chalobah expresses his willingness to play as the primary center-back in a defensive formation consisting of three players.

Regarding his participation, he expressed, “I feel at ease in this position and I am willing to play wherever I am required.” I have played as a central midfielder in a formation with three players, and under the management of Thomas Tuchel, I have played as a right midfielder. In France, I have also played as a left midfielder. The primary concern is determining what actions will yield the most favorable outcome for the team.

“I experienced a sense of satisfaction during the Brentford game.” The legs experienced increased strength. Once you regain your rhythm in matches, it becomes less challenging.
