David Ornstein has disclosed that an Arsenal player has reached an agreement on a contract with another club and is eager to join them during the upcoming summer.

Arsenal Football Club is presently in the United States on their pre-season tour. They have previously encountered Bournemouth and Manchester United at that location and are set to meet Liverpool on Wednesday night.

Arsenal, despite their hectic schedule, continue to be very engaged in the transfer market, and significant activity is anticipated in the upcoming weeks.

Ornstein has provided the most recent update on a player who may potentially leave Arsenal.

David Ornstein discloses the most recent offer from Marseille following Eddie Nketiah’s acceptance of personal conditions.
The status of Eddie Nketiah’s future at Arsenal has been uncertain for a considerable period of time.

The Englishman has been a member of Arsenal since the age of 14. He progressed through the ranks at Hale End and consistently demonstrated exceptional productivity there.

Nevertheless, since transitioning to adult football, Nketiah has not been able to replicate the same level of performance that he displayed in the academy.

Consequently, due to his lack of popularity, he has never been the preferred option at the club. It is quite probable that Nketiah will depart from Arsenal before the closure of the transfer window in August.

Marseille have been strongly associated with a potential acquisition of Nketiah during the upcoming summer transfer window. Roberto De Zerbi is an ardent admirer and is highly eager to acquire his signature.

The negotiations between the two teams have been continuing, and Ornstein has recently provided a fresh update.

The journalist has disclosed that Marseille has submitted an enhanced offer of around €20 million (£16.8m) to acquire the ‘remarkable’ Nketiah, in a manner that is advantageous to Arsenal.

Nevertheless, the Gunners consider the offer to be ‘unrealistic’ and are likely to decline it.

The crucial aspect is that Nketiah has reached an agreement on the specific conditions of a five-year contract with Marseille and is eager to depart from Arsenal in order to join them over the upcoming summer.

Ornstein posted on Twitter: “Exclusive: Marseille has presented a better offer to acquire Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal.” A new bid, about €20m, has been made that closely resembles the previous offer, but is more aligned with the specific requirements that Arsenal want.

“Although it may be considered improbable, negotiations are currently taking place and a five-year contract has been agreed upon. The 25-year-old individual is enthusiastic about joining Marseille.”

Arsenal faces a straightforward choice.
Marseille is unequivocally interested in acquiring Nketiah, and Arsenal is receptive to the idea of moving him. The player’s desire to participate makes this contract quite uncomplicated to finalise.

Nevertheless, the current offer is absurdly inadequate.

The price of £16.8 million for a player like Nketiah in the current market is completely ridiculous. We cannot envision a scenario in which Arsenal will consider this offer.

Arsenal should promptly return the offer to Marseille, explicitly stating their specific requirements. They should easily be considering an amount that is more than double the current offer.

It will be intriguing to observe the outcome, although now, Arsenal would benefit more from retaining Nketiah rather than selling him for a sum around £16 million.
