Arsenal full squad revealed for Bayern Munich as Saka nightmare avoided and one missing

Mikel Arteta has a wealth of options to pick from as Arsenal prepares for Tuesday night’s Champions League quarterfinal match against Bayern Munich.

After reclaiming first place in the Premier League with a 3-0 road victory against Brighton, the Gunners will be looking to continue their winning streak into tonight’s match and maybe qualify for the Champions League.

After the England international missed last week’s victory over Luton Town, fans worried about Bukayo Saka’s health. However, Saka returned to duty in Sunday’s victory on the south coast and scored. It was established after the final whistle that Saka had finished the contest without making his existing problem worse.

In other news, Arteta’s first team is down to one injury—Jurrien Timber—after the recent returns of Gabriel Martinelli and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Providing an update on the Dutchman’s availability last week, the Arsenal boss stated: “He’s doing very well; he’s back training.” He’s almost there; the tricky part is the final step. Does he require a match with the U21s because he hasn’t played a minute. His chances of returning to the lineup this year are high, in my opinion.

Timber, a 22-year-old, has been out with an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury that has kept him out of action since the Premier League season opener versus Nottingham Forest.

To help Arteta prepare for the first leg at Emirates Stadium against Bayern, here is a complete roster of the players at his disposal.

Aaron Ramsdale, David Raya, and Karl Hein are the goalkeepers.

Participating as defenders are: William Saliba, Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes, Jakub Kiwior, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Cedric Soares, and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Defenders: Jorginho, Declan Rice, Mohamed Elneny, Fabio Vieira, Thomas Partey, Martin Odegaard, Emile Smith Rowe

Leandro Trossard, Eddie Nketiah, Gabriel Jesus, Reiss Nelson, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Martinelli are the attackers.
