Manchester United reiterates the need for Arsenal to move, raising concerns about the £45 million signing.
After defeating Manchester United, Arsenal had to make a transfer decision, and this raised the issue once more.

Arsenal persevered in their match against Manchester United to force the championship battle to the very last day of the Premier League season. It was not, however, the easy task that many had claimed, and in the end, a single objective turned out to be the difference.

For the match against Manchester United, Mikel Arteta made the decision to start an unchanged lineup. This was hardly surprising given their victories over Chelsea, Tottenham, and Bournemouth, and it was further validated by a significant triumph over their storied rivals.

But the game got off to a cagey start, and the first half in particular lacked a lot of the intensity to which we are so used. Maybe it was the occasion, since Arsenal knew that a loss would virtually mean the end of their title hopes.

Thomas Partey’s performance had certain problems, which contributed to the below-average performance. The Ghanaian has missed a large portion of the season due to injury, but he has impressed with his performances since regaining his place in the starting lineup.

However, the northwest lacked the composed and forward-thinking presence that Arsenal fans have been lamenting the absence of all season. The 30-year-old made a number of errors during his performance, which hurt Mikel Arteta’s team.

It begs the crucial question of what choices Arsenal’s midfield will make come summertime. While Mohamed Elneny’s contract is set to expire and it is anticipated that he will leave the team, Jorginho recently inked a new deal and will be staying.

Partey’s contract with Arsenal expires in just one year, and it’s unclear what the team and he will decide to do. A number of midfielders, including Bruno Guimaraes and Martin Zubimendi, have been linked to Arsenal.

In the end, Arsenal needs depth in their lineup, so having Arteta play with a player of a comparable caliber would be perfect. Although Partey is a very talented player, his availability has always been questioned due to his numerous absences from matches since joining from Atletico Madrid, and his consistency may have been questioned at Old Trafford.

The difficulty lies in moving the players through the door, and Arsenal will be held to a standard when negotiating for future targets because of the £105 million Arsenal spent on Declan Rice. With two international tournaments, the market will undoubtedly be competitive and more difficult, but this victory at Old Trafford once again demonstrated the necessity of improving in this area of the field.
