Breaking News: Chelsea dressing room make Enzo Maresca feelings clear after worrying Celtic defeat

As Chelsea’s manager, Enzo Maresca has overseen two preseason friendlies; the Blues’ most recent match resulted in a 4-1 loss to Celtic.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has backed Enzo Maresca, the new manager of Chelsea, despite the Blues’ underwhelming preseason campaign thus far.

A 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Celtic in a preseason friendly has led some Stamford Bridge supporters to start doubting Maresca’s tactical abilities. Dewsbury-Hall, however, has intervened to calm the agitation and has stated that the team is solidly behind the Italian.

The midfielder attested to the manager’s instant influence on the team, persuading them of his approach in less than a week. He had previously flourished under Maresca’s tutelage during Leicester’s victorious Championship campaign the previous season.

Dewsbury-Hall expressed his confidence in the team’s dedication and continued to be enthusiastic about Chelsea’s chances of repeating that success: “I am getting the same feedback here with the lads.” They have been on board since the beginning.”

“You need everyone to buy in because if they do, you can really achieve something,” he said, highlighting the significance of unity. If that keeps up, we have the potential to be a powerful force.

In spite of recent disappointments, such as the loss to Celtic and the 2-2 draw with Wrexham, Maresca has been anxious to reassure supporters that the main goal of these preseason games is to improve fitness.

The manager discussed the Celtic match in an interview with Chelsea TV, saying, “We don’t like the result as you mentioned. Four concessions is too much. Additionally, the number of opportunities we generated in the first half—we had two obvious opportunities from the off. We began the second half in the same manner.

“The game ended with the third goal scored. I believe it was very evident how different our physical conditions were from theirs. You can tell that, while it was just our second game before the break, they are a team that will begin their official season in just one week. I could clearly see the difference in bodily state.”

On Sunday, August 18, Chelsea will begin their Premier League campaign at home against the defending champions, Manchester City.
