Amad Diallo of Manchester United has responded to rumors regarding his future after removing any references to the team from his social media accounts and then deleting his Instagram account entirely.

After recovering from a knee injury in December, the 21-year-old has only been used as a substitute three times this season and has not started a Premier League game. The Ivorian scored 14 goals in 43 games while on loan at Sunderland last season, and it was anticipated that he would compete for a spot in United’s starting lineup this season.

However, he missed almost five months of play due to a knee injury sustained during the preseason. Because Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Antony have been preferred by manager Erik ten Hag, he hasn’t been able to establish a regular spot in the squad.

Numerous supporters concur that Diallo should have been given more opportunities to play, and it appears that his resentment over not getting enough playing time is at an all-time high. In response to growing rumors about his future, the forward removed all mention of United from his Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts.

Since Diallo stated he has given up social media for a month in order to concentrate on Ramadan, the purported truth does not appear to be as suspect. Or at least that’s the justification offered to him.

The 20-year-old United player altered his X bio to say “this will all end” in French and removed all but three of his posts from his Instagram feed. After that, it seemed as though he deleted his accounts, which led transfer expert Fabrizio Romano to tweet a quote from the Snapchat attacker.

It said, “To concentrate on Ramadan, I’ve disabled my social media accounts for a month.” Give up the hate; what I did was perfectly fine. For me, this is holy month, and there are objectionable things to see on social media when fasting.”

Ten Hag complimented Diallo and said he will have more chances to make an impression after the forward made a comeback to action in December. In response to the question of what he can offer the team, the Dutchman said, “He is very ball secure.” He can make crucial passes, finish plays, and score goals. I believe he is armed as a result. When it comes to offensive players, that is what you are always searching for.”

On Sunday, United will play Liverpool in the FA Cup quarterfinal. Diallo will be looking to buck the current trend and get more playing time. While Jurgen Klopp’s team is still vying for a quadruple, the competition represents United’s last chance to end this season with a trophy.
