According to SPORT, Manchester United are prepared to intensify their pursuit of Xavi Simons and may propose an £84 million (€100 million) offer to Paris Saint-Germain for the Dutchman.

The Red Devils are reportedly presenting a lucrative offer to the Ligue 1 heavyweights in order to surpass the German duo Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig in the competition for Simons’ signature this summer, according to the Spanish outlet.

PSG is reportedly open to extending Simons’ loan to RB Leipzig, where he performed exceptionally last season, which garnered interest from top clubs across the continent.

The Bavarians are only willing to offer £50-60 million for Simons, according to SPORT, while United’s £84 million offer for the Dutchman would surpass Bayern’s proposal.

Following the official announcement of the acquisitions of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro, United are anticipated to recruit an additional player for the midfield position.

Manuel Ugarte, who arrived at Parc des Princes from Sporting Lisbon just 12 months ago, has been in discussions with the Red Devils regarding a potential transfer.

Manchester United could soon replicate the success of Leny Yoro’s pursuit and fend off interest from major European clubs by presenting a lucrative offer for Xavi Simons, according to SPORT (via The Faithful MUFC).

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, United’s minority owner, has reportedly issued the approval for the transaction to proceed, as the Red Devils endeavour to recruit an additional player of exceptional potential this summer.

According to the Spanish outlet, manager Erik ten Hag is seeking Simons’ arrival at Old Trafford, and his assistant Ruud van Nistelrooy is “attempting to persuade him” to join the Man United initiative.

PSG is currently patiently awaiting the Red Devils’ offer in order to recruit an additional Dutchman prior to Ten Hag’s third season in command, as reported by SPORT.
