BREAKING NEWS: “That was the reason I left Manchester United. He treated me very bad, after all the goals i scored for them. Now that he has been sack, I now regret my actions. I would love to come back to Manchester United because that’s my home”-Scott McTominay’s finally reveals the truth behind his exit as he tells true feelings on leaving Man Utd for Napoli in new tell-all interview as he hopes to return to the club.
In this interview, Scott McTominay discusses his departure from Manchester United and his success at Napoli.
Scott McTominay has disclosed the reasons for his exit from Manchester United, which came just a few months after he had begun his successful career with Napoli. The Scotland international, who moved to the Serie A club in a transfer of £25.7 million last summer, spent 22 years at Old Trafford, where he rose through the ranks of the university’s youth program to become a regular member of the first squad.
His transition to Italy was not without its difficulties, despite the fact that McTominay has swiftly adjusted to life in Italy. Erik ten Hag, a former manager of Manchester United, voiced his grief about the loss of the midfielder. He cited the financial demands brought on by the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) of the Premier League as a primary reason for the player’s departure.
During a recent interview with The Times, McTominay discussed his emotional departure from the club that he considered to be his home. However, he insisted that he does not have any regrets about his decision.
“There is no turning back”
In his discussion of the transfer, McTominay referred to it as a pivotal moment in his professional career:
“It is a significant choice; there is no denying that,” he stated. “There is no denying that.” I, together with my family and friends, made a decision that was quite significant. When you find yourself in a situation like that, you just need to ask yourself, “Do I want to do it?” Absolutely,’ and then dive right in. It is impossible to turn back now.
“Throughout my whole life and profession, I have never had any regrets, and I continue to maintain that approach. My goal is to have a prosperous career, and I will do all in my power to achieve that goal. I will strive to be the best football player and person I possibly can be.
With success in the Serie A
Since joining Napoli, McTominay has been a standout player, as seen by his impressive performance, which includes three goals scored in 10 matches. Maintaining focus and avoiding distractions from the outside world are the factors that he attributes to his easy adjustment.
The newspapers and social media are not something that I read. I want to avoid situations like that as much as possible,” McTominay further added. “The past is the past,” the speaker said. My goal is to help my team climb higher in the standings and to perform to the best of my abilities for my management in Italy. I am having a great time playing football.
In Appreciation of Support
McTominay attributes the ease of transfer to his support network, which he attributes to the fact that moving to a new league and nation may be tough.
“There are wonderful persons in my life who are of great assistance to me. I have a wonderful family, wonderful friends, and a wonderful partner, and as a result, the amount of stress in my life is really low,” he remarked. The Italian people have been kind, despite the fact that moving to a new country and establishing in is not a simple task. Whether it was choosing a residence, making transportation arrangements, or anything else I need, they have been of assistance to me. I could not be more appreciative of their assistance.
A Promising Prospect for the Future
According to McTominay, the midfielder has a bright future ahead of him because of his early success at Napoli. It was the end of an era when I left Manchester United, but it was also the beginning of fresh chances and doors that led to my personal development.
It is clear that McTominay is intent on making the most of his time in Italy, as seen by the praise that has already been bestowed upon him for his outstanding performances. With McTominay ready to make his mark in Serie A, it appears that both the player and the club are well positioned for an exciting trip that lies ahead.
