One of the most major portions of Ruben Amorim’s coaching career has been spent in Portugal up until this point. It is only now that he has relocated to England in order to take on the exceptional and nearly impossible job of bringing Manchester United back to the time when they were at the height of their glory.

It is not without reason that the Portuguese tactician is considered to be among the most highly regarded young coaches in the world.

In the past, Sporting CP has been able to defeat teams such as Manchester City by playing an entertaining brand of football while utilising the 3-4-3 configuration that Amorim used to employ.

Amorim is expected to do the same thing at Manchester United, but this system requires players who are fitted to a certain profile, and one of the positions in his system that is considered to be the most demanding is that of the wing-backs.

Amorim appears to be in a precarious position from the left side of the picture, whilst the Red Devils appear to be in good shape with Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui on the right.

According to Caught Offside, the coach, who is 39 years old, has reportedly urged that Manchester United get the signing of Benfica left-back Alvaro Carrera.
