Breaking: The Premier League has officially ruled out Bruno Fernandez’s red card against Tottenham. The two teams will split the points, and the referee will face punishment. Fans of Man United, congratulations!

PGMOL chairman Howard Webb has acknowledged that the red card shown to Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, against Tottenham should have been rescinded by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) because the player fell before contact was made.

At the close of the first half, United was already behind 1-0 when Fernandes was substituted for after seemingly catching James Maddison high on the leg.

VAR supported referee Chris Kavanagh’s on-field decision to disqualify the midfield player.

In the end, United lost 3-0, and according to Webb, Peter Bankes of VAR ought to have intervened to overturn the ruling.

Webb stated: “It was [an error].” The assistant advised that it was a red card offense, and the referee heeds that instruction, according to the audio.

Despite the strong contact, Fernandes trips up first. Although it’s not a ball attempt, the assistants believe that studs are in, yet there is a small mistake.

It’s more of a tripping motion rather than a driving the foot into the opponent. The referee ought to have been sent to the screen by VAR.
