Brentford manager Thomas Frank has confirmed that Ivan Toney will be included in the starting lineup for the match against Arsenal on Saturday, dismissing any concerns regarding his physical condition.

The assailant was apprehended to have incurred a leg ailment towards the conclusion of the recent 2-2 match against Chelsea. However, his management affirmed during Friday’s press conference that he is in a condition to participate at The Emirates Stadium.

Toney, who has netted four goals in eight matches following his suspension for betting, has been said to be considering a move to Arsenal during the summer transfer window. The Gunners have achieved a remarkable feat by scoring 21 goals in their most recent four Premier League matches. However, Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have only managed to score a combined total of 14 goals throughout the entire season.

Mikel Arteta was queried about his intentions to procure Toney during the upcoming summer. “I refrain from discussing any other player,” he responded. “If not, I will need to eliminate every other player in the market as we are associated with numerous players.”

Toney, who was absent from Brentford’s narrow 1-0 loss to Arsenal in November owing to his ban, found the back of the net during his previous trip to the Emirates in February’s 1-1 draw. That is his one failure in three encounters with the Gunners.

However, Saturday’s match is not suitable for Brentford’s forward Bryan Mbuemo, since he is getting closer to recovering from his ankle injury in December. He has scored a total of seven goals in the current season and is currently the second-highest scorer for the team.
