Man United has confirmed Rasmus Hojlund’s new shirt number since Anthony Martial left the team.
Rasmus Hojlund, a striker for Manchester United, has been given the No.9 shirt for the 2024–25 season.

The Dane moved to United from Atalanta in Italy in August of last year. At Atalanta, he wore the No. 11 shirt.

In his first season in England, he scored 16 goals and quickly became the team’s first choice scorer.

But since Anthony Martial left last month, the Reds have given the 21-year-old the highly sought-after No. 9 shirt.

He wears the number in the same way that many great players at Old Trafford have, such as Dimitar Berbatov, Andy Cole, and Sir Bobby Charlton.

This week, Hojlund went back to Carrington for pre-season training. He wore the No. 9 shirt for Denmark at the European Championship in the summer. He wore the same number for SK Sturm Graz too.

Since Hojlund is now wearing the No. 9 shirt, it’s possible that new player Joshua Zirkzee will be given the No. 11 shirt.

In his first season at Bologna, in 2022–23, the Dutch player wore that number. Last season, he was given the No. 9 shirt.
