Deal completed: Man United signed a forward for £60 million following the scar from Hujlund’s injury; the news is still pending.

According to sources, Man Utd is getting ready to make a bid for Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong this summer in an attempt to add a new wing-back.

This summer, the Red Devils have already finalised two transfers: promising French centre-back Leny Yoro from Lille and Netherlands international Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna.

With more than a month of the transfer season remaining, Man Utd appear far from finished, with several whispers circulating about individuals they could yet buy.

Another centre back appears to be on the top of their list, as Matthijs De Ligt of Bayern Munich, Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton, and Antonio Silva of Benfica are all connected.

Their two major targets in defensive midfield are reportedly Sofyan Amrabat of Fiorentina and Manuel Ugarte of Paris Saint-Germain. They are also reportedly searching for a new right-back.

Noussair Mazraoui of Bayern Munich looks to be getting closer to joining Man Utd at Old Trafford, as transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano says he is only “waiting” for Man Utd to trade Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

In his Caught Offside piece, Romano stated that Nassair Mazraoui was anticipating Manchester United. He is eager to relocate, and his representative Pimenta is currently negotiating for both Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt. Everything now hinges on Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s departure.

However, as the Red Devils want to add another right-sided player, sources in Spain now state that Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag “steals” Bayer Leverkusen defender Frimpong from Xabi Alonso.

According to reports, Ten Hag’s plan for Manchester United “fits like a glove” for the 23-year-old, and the Red Devils are “willing to submit an offer of around 50 million euros (£42 million) to secure the services of one of their most sought-after wing-backs.”

Frimpong would “fit perfectly into the dynamic style of play that ten Hag is looking to implement at Old Trafford,” therefore a Man Utd transfer for him is “not surprising.”

Even if the Bundesliga winners would suffer a “huge blow” if he left, the Red Devils’ offer “may be too tempting to turn down.”

The England international Harry Maguire is one player who could be traded this summer to make place for more players, but he wants to stay at Manchester United.

When asked if he intended to remain at Old Trafford, Maguire replied, “Unless the club tells me I’m not wanted there anymore or I’m up for sale.”

“Based on everything I’ve heard and the club’s actions, I’m a part of the future. Now is the time to get serious about turning this club around and competing for the major trophies.” That’s what this group requires.

The “toughest moment” of Maguire’s career, he maintains, was missing England’s Euro 2024 campaign and Manchester United’s FA Cup final victory over Man City last season.

“When I initially sustained the injury, I believed I would be ready for the FA Cup final,” Maguire said to reporters while the team was in the US for their preseason tour.

“I prepared myself for the final, but a setback in the week before eliminated me from the competition.

Once more, there was no issue at that point because I would be ready for the Europeans. That was really frustrating. Then, when I travelled with England, I experienced another setback.

I wish I had no chance with any of them now, so I could have understood it better.

However, I had high expectations that I would participate in the cup final or else be involved, and I was positive that I would be at the Euros.

“Yet it simply didn’t work out, and perhaps I was just trying to return too soon, but it was undoubtedly the hardest time in my career.”
