The Guardian (page 35) reports that Manchester United is on the verge of finalising its third acquisition of the summer transfer season.

The Red Devils have successfully acquired the talents of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro, and they are currently engaged in advanced negotiations to secure the signing of Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich.

According to reports, the club has reached an agreement for the transfer of the four-time title winner, with a price range of £15-20 million. However, the transfer will not be finalised until a buyer is found for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Wan-Bissaka rejected an offer from West Ham United to join Inter Milan, but Manchester United are hopeful of convincing him to change his decision.

United is nearing the completion of the Mazraoui deal.
Wan-Bissaka is in the final year of his contract with United, and the club has chosen to sell him in order to get a right-back with a stronger focus on attacking.

Mazraoui has been designated as the optimal substitute. The Moroccan footballer has had a four-season tenure under the management of Erik ten Hag at Ajax, which implies that he should possess a thorough understanding of the team’s playing style.

This would enable him to rapidly acclimatise and present a challenge to Diogo Dalot. Last season, the player who formerly played for Ajax provided four assists in less than 2,000 minutes of playing time for Bayern.

His history of injuries is a legitimate cause for concern. Over the past two years, he has been absent from 30 games for both his club and national team due to various problems. However, Manchester United is willing to assume the gamble.

United will want to approve the transfer of Wan-Bissaka as soon as possible in order to acquire Mazraoui. He has already reached an agreement for an initial five-year contract.
