Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, is said to be planning to have a conversation about a potential transfer with Alejandro Garnacho, a forward for Manchester United, during his next visit to Manchester next month.

The Argentine adolescent is currently experiencing a highly successful season at Old Trafford, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in a total of 38 matches across all competitions, with 29 of those matches being starting appearances.

Erik ten Hag’s team, currently ranked sixth in the Premier League, has achieved five goals and three assists in 26 games. There are nine rounds of matches remaining in the league.

In April of last year, Garnacho renewed his contract with United, prolonging his tenure at the club until 2028.

Nevertheless, this has not discouraged Los Blancos. According to Defensa Central (via Football Transfers), Perez intends to initiate a conversation with the player during the club’s visit to Manchester City for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals next month.

The 19-year-old, who possesses both Argentine and Spanish citizenship, presents an alluring prospect for the top-ranked team in La Liga, despite the presence of Brazilian players Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes, as well as the anticipated arrival of PSG forward Kylian Mbappe.

Real Madrid will travel to the Etihad Stadium on April 17 for the second leg of their Champions League quarterfinals, after their home match against the current champions eight days prior.

During the aforementioned visit, Perez also intends to engage in discussions with City’s forward Erling Haaland on a potential transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid and Manchester United have had divergent campaigns. Los Blancos currently hold an eight-point lead at the top of La Liga with nine games remaining. Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently in sixth position in the Premier League, behind fourth-placed Aston Villa by nine points, although they have one additional game to play.

The two clubs have also seen divergent outcomes in European competitions. Madrid has not lost any of their past eight games in the UEFA Champions League, winning seven of them. As a result, they have secured a spot in the quarter-finals against City. On the other hand, United was eliminated from Europe after placing fourth in their group.

Nevertheless, the Red Devils have performed more successfully in the domestic cup competition, defeating quadruple-seeking Liverpool 4-3 on Sunday to advance to the semifinals of the FA Cup.

Their next fixture is an away match against Brentford in the league, scheduled for March 30th.Real Madrid’s next match in La Liga will be against Athletic Bilbao at home on March 31.
