After learning that his wife’s ex-partner was the father of the two children he raised, a former Chelsea player filed for divorce.

The twins were born into the couple following an affair that Laure, the player’s wife, had, according to The Sun.

According to Cameroonian court records, the player’s spouse “destroyed the harmony” of their union “through her abject behaviour.”

She had been accused of lying several times and claimed that “no children have been born from this union.”

Geremi, a former midfield player for Chelsea, is rumored to have gone through a severe emotional breakdown after learning the truth.

The twins were born in June 2008, four years before Geremi and his wife got married. She had claimed that they were his.

They were inspired to marry by this, but Geremi is now in disbelief after learning the truth. According to the 45-year-old, his wife caused him psychological harm.

Between 2003 and 2007, Geremi was a player for Chelsea, where he won two Premier League titles.

He played for Newcastle after having previously been at Real Madrid and Middlesbrough on loan.

In addition to winning the Africa Cup of Nations twice and an Olympic gold medal in 2000, Geremi made 118 appearances for Cameroon.
