Arsenal is reportedly keeping a close eye on Las Palmas goalkeeper Alvaro Valles in preparation for the impending summer transfer window, according to reports from Spain.

The 26-year-old Valles started his career in Real Madrid’s youth division and has since attracted interest from Aston Villa, Real Betis, and Arsenal.

This season in La Liga, Valles has become a key player for Las Palmas, appearing in every minute of their campaign. Valles has been essential to Las Palmas’ success, even though they are currently ninth in the Spanish top division, outperforming teams like Sevilla and Villarreal. Valles has made 129 appearances for Las Palmas, an impressive total. His contract is scheduled to expire in the summer of 2025.

Valles is calm about his future in spite of the rumors that he could be moving to Betis, Villa, or Arsenal. Prioritizing finishing the current 2023–24 season with Las Palmas over making any decisions about his future is his main concern.

Rumors that Aaron Ramsdale might leave the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season have sparked Arsenal’s interest in finding a new goalkeeper. Ramsdale, who has allowed David Raya to take the top spot this season, came under fire after making a big mistake in a game against Brentford. Raya was not allowed to play in that game because of a loan arrangement.

In addition, Patrick Schulte, a goalkeeper who presently plays Major League Soccer for Columbus Crew, has been connected to Arsenal. In his rookie season, 23-year-old Schulte made a big difference by helping his team win the 2023 MLS Cup.

In addition, he made his debut for the United States on the international scene in a friendly match against Slovenia in January. Arsenal’s pursuit of players like Valles and Schulte highlights the club’s commitment to strengthening its squad at every position as it assesses its goalkeeping options going forward.
