Ruben Amorim is en route to Manchester United to succeed Erik ten Hag, and Gary Lineker has made a significant assertion regarding Ruud van Nistelrooy’s future.

Amorim will arrive at Old Trafford with his own coaching staff; however, Van Nistelrooy, who previously served as Ten Hag’s assistant, is currently uncertain about his future.

Van Nistelrooy has performed admirably since replacing Ten Hag, and United’s comprehensive victory over Leicester at the weekend has guaranteed that he concludes his tenure on a positive note.

Van Nistelrooy is undoubtedly beloved by the United supporters.

However, Gary Lineker believes that this could potentially be detrimental to Van Nistelrooy’s employment at the club.

Gary Lineker discusses Ruben Amorim’s intentions regarding Ruud van Nistelrooy.

During the most recent episode of the Rest Is Football podcast, Lineker addressed the possibility of Van Nistelrooy remaining at United.

However, Lineker is of the opinion that Amorim may choose to transfer the Dutchman in order to begin anew.

“It would also not be surprising if Ruben Amorim enters and departs.” Is it truly necessary to have an individual who has been a part of the previous regime, particularly one with a significant personality, in that position?

“In which location do you situate him?” Is he the initial assistant? I believe it could be somewhat uncomfortable. I have a feeling that he may seek employment elsewhere,” Lineker stated.

Is a comprehensive overhaul of Manchester United necessary?
Manchester United have been struggling for years and have never quite achieved success, despite the billions of dollars spent and the numerous managers who have led the team.

From club luminaries such as Ole Solskjaer to seasoned victors like Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal, they have experimented with everything.

Simply put, it has not been successful, and it is time for United supporters to witness their team resume its competitive nature.

This could potentially result in a complete victory for Ruben Amorim. Despite Van Nistelrooy’s commendable performance, the harsh reality may be necessary, and Amorim may need to replace him.

Certainly, Van Nistelrooy has not harmed his prospects of securing another position.

However, United must ensure that everything is executed perfectly at this time. If Amorim desires to maintain a staff of his own, then that is the appropriate course of action.
