After successfully acquiring James Overy earlier in the season, Manchester United is about to add yet another young player to their roster: 15-year-old Reading standout Camron Mpofu is reportedly on his way to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are predicted to undergo a major first-team reconstruction in the summer, with players like Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, and others being linked to departures from the organisation as INEOS begins to restock the starting lineup. In the long run, though, it’s also necessary to bring in young players at a low cost in order for them to either succeed in United’s development teams or be sold for “pure profit” payments later on.

Manchester United: The latest on Camron Mpofu’s transfer
Maybe the Royals are being raided by the Red Devils.
In light of this, Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News reports that Mpofu is en route to the Red Devils’ setup as the final details of a deal approach. According to his source, United is anticipated to buy Mpofu from Reading; but, before a deal for the 15-year-old is finalised, a comprehensive Premier League process needs to be “navigated.”

Mpofu is eligible to play youth football for both Scotland and England. He debuted for the Tartan Army under-16 squad against Spain in April. However, he is allowed to switch between youth teams until he plays competitively for the first team.
