The Premier League begins next week, and there is a fascinating rumour circulating from Ghana regarding Marcus Rashford of Manchester United. Michael Boye Marquaye, a former Ghanaian international, asserted that the United player was his father.

In an interview with the Ghanaian radio station “Starr FM,” Michael Boye Marquaye startled everyone by admitting that he is Marcus Rashford’s biological father. The striker is officially the son of Jamaicans Joseph and Melanie Rashford, who were both born in St. Kitts and Nevis.

“Rashford is my son and he knows it although we haven’t seen each other for several years,” the 65-year-old former Ghanaian international, who now resides in the UK, told the media source.

“At first, he was upset because he believed I had abandoned him, but that was not the case,” said a Marquaye, to make it clear that he is not making his comments for personal benefit.

Many individuals are now trying to get in touch with me in the hopes of getting a new story, but I’m not the type of person who looks for easy methods to get fame or money. Regarding the Manchester United striker, he stated, “I just wanted to clarify things and let the world know that Marcus Rashford has Ghanaian roots.”

Following his outstanding performance, Raphinha, the undisputed “MVP” of Barcelona’s 4-1 victory against Bayern Munich on matchday three of the Champions League, appeared before the “Movistar” microphones. He recalled his warning during the pregame news conference that the match was so good that it could have been a perfect match in the European Championship final.

Raphael Dias “Raphinha,” a striker for Barcelona who scored a hat-trick in Wednesday’s 4-1 victory over Bayern Munich, said that the level of both teams made the victory “special” since “it could have been a Champions League final.”

“We are really thrilled, and it’s a very happy night. The most significant thing to me is that we performed admirably as a team during the game. We won the Champions League for the second time, and now we need to focus on the next match,” the Brazilian said in a statement to “Movistar+.”

Raphinha responded, “I stated in advance that this match could have been a Champions League final,” when asked if this was a unique triumph. Being able to win is fantastic; it’s great to do so in front of our supporters.

The striker for Barcelona claimed that “what they are doing on the pitch” dispels any uncertainty over their goals for this season and that Real Madrid and Barcelona’s recent wins “promise a great game” this weekend at the Santiago Bernabeu.
