Mohamed Salah, a prominent player for Liverpool, has been excluded from the Egypt team for an upcoming friendly tournament. This development significantly benefits Liverpool in their pursuit of the Premier League title.

Jurgen Klopp’s team achieved a 1-1 draw against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon, with Salah being substituted in the second half. Salah, aged 31, departed from the Africa Cup of Nations prematurely after sustaining a hamstring injury on January 18 during the match against Ghana. Subsequently, he has encountered ongoing difficulties due to his ailment.

In mid-February, he resumed playing as a substitute in a match against Brentford. However, he experienced muscle tiredness and was subsequently sidelined again, as reported by Liverpool manager Klopp. Salah resumed training this week and made a substitute appearance in the 74th minute of their 5-1 triumph against Sparta Prague in the Europa League on Thursday.

The leading goal-scorer for Liverpool has scored 19 goals so far this season. His recovery from injury caused a disagreement between the club and the national team, as Egypt initially refused Liverpool’s request to allow their captain to skip the tournament in Abu Dhabi. In this tournament, Liverpool will play against New Zealand and then either Tunisia or Croatia in the final. Liverpool manager Klopp previously acknowledged: “I have no control over the fact that Egypt has scheduled two matches.”
