Man United prepare bid as they eye £40m-rated Atalanta midfielder to replace Casemiro

Manchester United have intensified their scouting efforts on Atalanta midfielder Ederson, as they have identified him as a potential successor to Casemiro.

Casemiro, aged 31, is expected to depart from Manchester United at the conclusion of the current season, having spent only two years at Old Trafford.

The former Real Madrid star performed exceptionally well in his initial season at the Theatre of Dreams, but his second season has been much below expectations.

Casemiro’s contract will have a remaining duration of two years by the end of the season, and Manchester United is open to considering proposals from Saudi Arabia.

Removing Casemiro from the team’s payroll would create a substantial amount of room in the budget allocated for wages. Representatives from Manchester United were present during Atalanta’s 2-2 draw against Juventus on Sunday.

The individual, who is currently 24 years old, has made a strong impression since relocating to Europe from his country of origin.

The midfielder has accumulated a total of 72 appearances for Atalanta, with a record of seven goals and two assists.
