Manchester United have received reports that Wolverhampton Wanderers are open to selling Pedro Neto during the upcoming summer, if the price is suitable.

The 23-year-old has started to thrive in the West Midlands this season after receiving trust from manager Gary O’Neil.

Neto has been a prolific playmaker, accumulating a total of ten assists in all competitions and earning praise from analysts for his exceptional speed.

Although Wolves may prefer to retain him, they may be compelled to sell if they want to provide O’Neil with funds for the upcoming summer.

As reported by The Sun, O’Neil and his colleagues have accepted the fact that they will lose the talented Portuguese player, and now there is a competition among clubs to secure his signing.

Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, and United are all considering making a play for the forward, who will be a free agent in 2027.

The Reds’ pursuit of Neto is logical given their shortage of options in the forward position, especially with the anticipated departures of Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood.

According to Calciomercato, in another location United and Borussia Dortmund are intensifying their efforts to get Atalanta’s defender Giorgio Scalvini.

The 20-year-old central defender is gaining a significant name in Italy, having established himself as a crucial player for the Serie A team.

Scalvini has participated in 27 matches thus far in the current season and has already earned seven Italian international caps.

The defender has already expressed his desire to join the Premier League at some point, and this aspiration may come true during the summer.

It is said that Atalanta has set a price of £34m for their skilled defender, and Manchester United is said to be willing to meet this amount.

Given the uncertainty surrounding Raphael Varane’s future, it is probable that the Reds are intending to recruit a defender by the end of the season.
