Man Utd coaches ‘losing patience’ with one player with stunning £63m replacement already lined up

It has been reported that the coaching staff at Manchester United is sick of working with a single player, who is rumoured to be on the verge of being replaced by a massive transfer target this summer.

In spite of an initial improvement in performance, Ruben Amorim’s first four months as manager of Manchester United have been one of the most challenging of his career.

In the fifteen Premier League matches that the Portuguese manager has presided over since taking over for Erik ten Hag in November, his team has only managed to win four of those matches, draw three of them, and lose eight of them for a total of fifteen matches.

However, it would appear that the coaches at United have identified one player who has the potential to be a significant contributor to United’s poor form, and the club has already begun the process of finding a replacement for that player.

It is common knowledge that the front line is perhaps the weakest part of Amorim’s United squad. Both Rasmus Hojliund and Joshua Zirkzee have failed to impress despite playing a significant amount of minutes across all competitions.

As a result of the fact that they are getting tired of waiting for their star striker to finally live up to the £64 million that United paid for him when he joined from Atalanta in July 2023, the coaches of the club have become increasingly frustrated with Hojlund in particular, as reported by Manchester Evening News.

It is reported that one member of the United coaching staff was furious about the 22-year-old player’s performance after United’s 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur. The Danish international has not scored in any of his last sixteen appearances for United, and the loss came after United’s loss to Tottenham Hotspur.

This sentiment appears to be shared by United supporters, as evidenced by the fact that they booed Hojlund when he was taken off Saturday, when United was trailing Everton by a score of 2-0.

Even though he has played for Manchester United for 76 times, Hojlund has only managed to score 23 goals in total.

As a result, it is highly probable that Hojlund will be on the market for United this summer. Furthermore, according to a report from Givemesport, United has identified Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan from Galatasaray, as their primary transfer target in advance of the summer transfer window.

Since the Nigerian international joined the Turkish giants from Napoli last summer, United have been impressed by him. However, it may be difficult for United to accommodate him within their wage structure, and they will ask him to take a pay cut if he is willing to move to Old Trafford.

According to the current situation, it is believed that the striker is earning a weekly wage of approximately 204,309 pounds, which would place him among the top four earners at United.

According to reports, in the event that a transfer for Osimhen is deemed impossible, United will reportedly consider either acquiring Liam Delap from Ipswich Town or conducting a raid on Amorim’s former club Sporting in order to acquire star striker Viktor Gyokeres, who has also garnered interest from Chelsea.
