Manchester United interested in Ligue 1 right-back as potential Aaron Wan-Bissaka replacement

Van Doren of AS Monaco has become a possible replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka for Manchester United.

A report from Sky Sports says that Manchester United wants to sign Vanderson this summer. Vanderson is a right back for AS Monaco.

This summer, the Red Devils made a lot of changes that have paid off. Players like Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro were added. In less than a month, the 2024–25 season will begin, and INEOS will do more to make the team even better.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to leave United this summer, so the team might need to find a new right back. The 26-year-old’s contract ends in a year, and Manchester’s big teams want to get rid of him. His old team, West Ham United, wants to bring him back to London.

The 23-year-old scored three goals and set up another in 20 Ligue 1 games, even though injuries cut short his 2023–24 season. Vanderson made a big difference at the end of the previous season, which helped the Red and Whites finish second in Ligue 1 behind Paris Saint-Germain.

The flyer from Rondonopolis signed a new deal with Monaco earlier this year that keeps him there until 2028 (Transfermarkt), but the same report says he could be available for around £30m this transfer window. Monaco is said to be paying a pretty low price for Vanderson, since the player still has four years left on his contract.

Vanderson is a modern right back who could be a good choice instead of Diogo Dalot, who is Man United’s first choice right back. He is quick, quick to react, brave, and bold. He would be better than Wan-Bissaka and make the Red Devils’ right side play much better. The Brazilian full back is one of the fastest in Ligue 1, and at 23 years old, he looks ready for the next level.
