Tottenham has been encouraged to acquire Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.
The England star is considered a valuable addition by a former Spurs idol.
Last season, the 26-year-old experienced an arduous campaign with the Old Trafford club.

Tottenham has been encouraged to pursue Marcus Rashford, the face of Manchester United, this summer.

Ange Postecoglou’s team is striving to enhance their fifth-place result in the Premier League from the previous season.

According to a former Tottenham player, Rashford would be an ideal addition to Postecoglou’s squad.

Last season, Rashford faced numerous obstacles and managed to score only eight goals for United across all competitions.

The 26-year-old was further frustrated when he was consequently excluded from England’s squad for Euro 2024.

Nevertheless, Rashford’s performance during the 2022-23 campaign served as a testament to his potential, as he scored 30 goals for United.

Jamie O’Hara, who appeared in 56 matches for Tottenham, is of the opinion that Postecoglou has the potential to optimise Rashford’s performance.

O’Hara expressed her affection for Rashford during an appearance on talkSPORT Breakfast, stating, “I have a soft spot for him.”

“I am unsure as to the reason, as I was extremely frustrated while watching him last season.” When you are walking around Luton and you are thinking, “Come on, mate, give me more,” but he possesses star quality.

“He possesses the X-factor, and a manager who is able to extract the maximum potential from him will produce a top-tier player.”

Rashford maintains an antagonistic rapport with Erik ten Hag, according to O’Hara.

O’Hara stated, “He is not amicable with Erik ten Hag; this is an issue that they must resolve.”

It is impossible to have an individual earning £375,000 per week who is idly sitting on the sideline, not contributing, not being featured, and not being involved. He must participate; you must devise a method to integrate him into the team.

His dashes are exceptional; however, he is unable to retrieve the ball. Would you be willing to pay £80 million for him? Indeed, I would relish the opportunity to observe him at Tottenham.

It was previously asserted that Rashford and ten Hag were “barely on speaking terms” at the conclusion of the previous season.

It was reported that Ten Hag was displeased with Rashford for failing to attend training after a night out in Belfast.

In a previous incident, ten Hag issued Rashford a warning after he was observed celebrating following a loss to Manchester City.
