Prior to joining a Champions League team, a Manchester United player who makes £75,000 a week is said to have agreed to personal terms.

Man Utd departure gossip
With Sir Jim Ratcliffe as a co-owner and the recent announcement that Erik ten Hag will stay as Red Devils manager, it could be an exciting summer at Old Trafford.

However, a number of player departures have already been confirmed in advance of the 2024–2025 season, including Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane, whose contracts officially expire at the end of the month.

However, there is conjecture on the futures of Jadon Sancho, Casemiro, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, so they might not be the only senior departures. Sancho was on loan at Borussia Dortmund for the second half of the previous season, but he might be traded again.

The Brazilian midfielder, who was not there for United’s FA Cup final victory over Manchester City, has already bid farewell to the team and is expected to go. Wan-Bissaka, who may sell for as little as £20 million, is reportedly of interest to Inter Milan.

Mason Greenwood, who played on loan with Getafe during the previous season, is another player who might be gone for good. A new development has surfaced about the forward’s rumoured transfer to Juventus, who have earned a spot in the Champions League for the upcoming campaign.

Update on Mason Greenwood’s transfer
Greenwood’s time at Old Trafford is reportedly “over,” according to Fabrizio Romano, and United is looking into all of the possibilities for his long-term departure.

“We have been saying this repeatedly since February or March: Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood saga is ended. Their intention is to sell Mason Greenwood, and based on what I’ve been told, there might be a loan involved that has a buy obligation rather than an option.

“We’ll have to wait and see, but there are a lot of options surrounding Mason Greenwood, and Man United will take its time to select the best offer. Juventus is interested, but before they can acquire the player, they must sell at least one attacking player.

Juventus’ interest was mentioned by the transfer expert, and based on Italian media, Greenwood and the Serie A powerhouses have reached a personal terms deal.

Ratcliffe and United are in talks with Greenwood’s club, and they want to pay him as much as €50 million (£42 million). The attacker, who earns £75,000 a week, made 36 appearances for Getafe in the last campaign, tallying six assists and 10 goals. Barring a stunning turnaround, his time at Old Trafford is all but done, so it will be intriguing to see if United can get a price close to their requested amount of up to €50 million.
