It is anticipated that Paul Pogba will return to football at the end of this month. On November 30, the former Manchester United midfielder will play in a friendly game in the King’s Cup in Dubai.

Several retired stars, including John Terry, David Silva, Michael Owen, Franck Ribery, Clarence Seedorf, and Edgar Davids, will play in the match, which is anticipated to be held at Al Maktoum Stadium. Pogba will play for the Hedge & Sachs Royals XI, which is a significant step in his recovery and comeback.

Pogba is reportedly limited to playing no more than 15 minutes every half. Roberto Carlos, who plays for King’s XI, is subject to the same regulation; both players must wear a special “King’s Guard” shirt. The ‘King’s Guard’ position brings an additional player to the field, therefore if Pogba and Carlos are employed together, there might be 24 players on the field at once.

Additionally, the “King’s Guard” players are not subject to offside flags and are not subject to yellow or red cards. Additionally, a penalty shootout involving every participant will determine the outcome if the game ends in a draw.

Scholes, a former United midfielder, will also be involved in addition to the previously named former football players. “I’m away, I’m playing a game in Dubai for charity,” Scholes confirmed on The Overlap’s Stick to Football podcast. Michael Owen, David Silva, and perhaps Pogba. Fellaini [Marouane]…”

After failing a drug test in August 2023, Pogba has not participated in a competitive game since, so his return has generated a lot of enthusiasm. He was then given a four-year suspension, which appeared to be the end of his playing career.

However, the ban has now been lowered to 18 months after an appeal. This implies that Pogba can start training again in January and return to competitive play in March.

Last Monday, Pogba’s contract was mutually ended, despite his desire to continue his career at Juventus. “There are times when things don’t go the way we want, but one thing is certain; the bond I have with you, dear fans, will remain unforgettable,” Pogba stated in a poignant statement following his departure from Juventus.

“I cannot adequately thank you for everything you have done for me, and I will always remember all of your love for me. My heart will always hold you. I wish @juventus luck.

Pogba is a free agent at this time. Arsenal has been mentioned as a possible destination for the Frenchman, who is now training in Miami and hoping to join a team in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
