REVEALED: Following Forest’s victory, Arsenal will face Liverpool and Manchester City in their next five Premier League games. Mikel Arteta will win easily to secure the top spot, while City and Liverpool will lose points.

Who thought that under Martin Odegaard, Arsenal would be a different (and far superior) team? Even though they started the weekend nine points behind Liverpool and are already being questioned about their chances of winning the Premier League, the return of one player has raised speculation that the battle is far from over.

Odegaard not only has a favorable influence on Arsenal’s culture and vibe, he controls it. The significance of his return to the Emirates Stadium cannot be minimized or overlooked.

He made a pass against Chelsea that no one else on the squad could make from a position that most people can’t even see, much less reach so quietly and skillfully. He was superb here, at the heart of a 3-0 victory over the visiting, high-flying, and talented Nottingham Forest team.

Odegaard had the game flowing from him, even without Ben White as the third point on a right-sided axis of dreams alongside Bukayo Saka. His touches were flawless; he established the game’s tempo after determining it. Saka did all the hard work (and more) for a fantastic opening, therefore the performance was worthy of an assist.

Arsenal was never in doubt after that. not only the outcome but also the game’s vibe. Even Arteta, a careful player rotater, was able to substitute Raheem Sterling for Odegaard because everything was so settled and comfortable. The fact that Ethan Nwaneri hasn’t been given more chances during the time without Odegaard is maybe the only disappointment.

He will have the opportunity to add to his first Premier League goal in the upcoming weeks. Additionally, Arsenal’s run in the month and a half before the new year might determine how closely they will be vying for an elusive championship.

Their next five Premier League games are examined and contrasted with those of their two most probable championship challengers, Manchester City and Liverpool, on football.london.

West Ham (A): November 30, Saturday
Given how poorly West Ham has performed this season, complacency may pose the greatest threat to Arsenal in this match. They started the weekend in 14th place for a reason, and considering some of the performances, even that ranking seems excessive.

It will be a test of Arteta’s stamina and team management following a difficult Champions League matchup against Sporting CP, who defeated Manchester 4-1 prior to the international break despite being without Ruben Amorim. However, Arsenal will start the match as overwhelming favorites, and with good reason.

December 4, Wednesday, Manchester United (H)
Following West Ham, the Premier League action resumes immediately, with Amorim’s United scheduled to play early. Everything is in place for a nice game in the middle of the week, under the lights.

However, Arsenal should be sure that even a better-organized and less Erik ten Hag-y United won’t match this level of talent. Even the rivalry and intensity of a match against Manchester United shouldn’t be enough to keep Arteta’s team from winning three points if he can get them to duplicate the dominance and threat they shown against Forest.

December 8, Sunday, Fulham (A)
Fulham, beneath the radar, continues to improve under Marco Silva. However, many Arsenal supporters view them as a second team. There are several recognized faces, like Bernd Leno, Reiss Nelson, Emile Smith Rowe, and Alex Iwobi. It will be hard to overlook the fact that a costly poor patch occurred in this game at this point in the previous season.

There is something really sturdy and high-quality about Fulham. They will also be willing to outperform a competition from London. For Arsenal, this is banana-skin territory.

Everton (H): December 14, Saturday
Everton and Fulham are both potential banana-skins. The good news is that Sean Dyche’s team is once again dragging their feet. They are still uninspired and have only scored 10 goals all season, which is tied for second-fewest.

You can stop Everton by stopping Iliman Ndiaye. Although he may be just as good in a pivotal position, Dwight McNeil lacks Ndiaye’s star power. Another team that has previously caused problems for Arsenal is Everton, although they will need to do something quite unique to win anything at the Emirates Stadium.

Crystal Palace (A) – Saturday, December 21 Palace is now in a relegation fight after once appearing to be a contender for European football. That’s what losing Micahel Olise can do, and Oliver Glasner has issues to deal with now that Eberechi Eze is sidelined due to an injury.

Eddie Nketiah will play against his old team for the first time since a summer transfer, but even at Selhurst Park, Arsenal will feel confident. The Eagles certainly have quality throughout their squad, so if they do it right, it will be uncomfortable. It is hardly the kind of game to be dropping points in, as it is further down the winter schedule.
