The Club Marcus Rashford ‘Hopes to Sign for This Summer’ Revealed

Marcus Rashford’s target club for the summer has been revealed, and it is not Aston Villa. The Englishman has improved his form since leaving Manchester United and moving to Villa Park on loan. He had a terrible season prior to the transition, but has subsequently impressed in Unai Emery’s squad.

Rashford’s time at Old Trafford ended on a negative note. He fell out of favour with United’s new manager, Ruben Amorim, and has spent the last few months on the bench, watching the squad play without him. It seemed almost certain that he would depart the Red Devils during the winter transfer window, and he was handed a lifeline in the shape of a loan to Villa.

His start at the club has also been impressive. He appeared to be a serious threat in his first few appearances, but he pushed things to the next level in his most recent battle. He came off the bench in the second half of Villa’s game against Chelsea and helped the club come back from a 1-0 deficit to win 2-1. Marco Asensio may have scored both goals, but Rashford set them up, and he’s given Villa fans hope so far. Unfortunately, a recent source has revealed which club he intends to join in the summer, and it appears that his days at Villa Park are numbered.

Rashford Wants to Join Barcelona

He’s been linked with them already in the past

After joining Villa, Rashford made it plain that he would not be staying for long. In his first interview, he stated: “Obviously, I’m only here for a short time, but I want to make the most of it. And the only way to accomplish it is to use my strengths and skill sets to benefit the team.” He looks to have meant it, as The Sun reports that the Englishman wants to join Barcelona in the summer.

According to the report, an unnamed insider stated that he hoped to capture the attention of the Catalan giants. Rashford, who has previously been connected with Barcelona, hopes that his time at Villa would persuade them to make a move for him once the 2024/25 season ends. The source stated:

“Marcus is certain that if he regains his form at Villa Park and starts scoring goals, Barcelona would renew their interest, especially now that a transfer fee has been fixed. It’s a major incentive for him, which is great for Villa. Now all he needs to do is start playing and scoring.”

Deco, Barcelona’s sports director, recently stated that the club was interested in the attacker but decided not to pursue the transfer.
