The Most Heartbreaking Moments in Football as Cristiano Ronaldo lost another of child

Thierry Henry described how he personally executed free kicks and why he was unable to perfect Cristiano Ronaldo’s preferred style.

With 175 goals for Arsenal, Henry will go down as one of the greatest forwards in Premier League history.

The French legend is among the top five scorers in the division history with 12 goals scored from direct free kicks.

Henry shares fourth place with legendary Manchester United striker Ronaldo, who scored 12 goals in his many stints at Old Trafford.

But the two players’ styles were so dissimilar that Henry favored a curled effort over Ronaldo’s signature “knuckleball.”

Henry gave an explanation of why he never attempted the knuckleball technique during his CBS Sports analysis, stating that it was not suited for his body type.

“I always performed the same routine, with my shoulders pointing toward the corner flag,” he remarked. Every time, you take your mark, count to two, then make adjustments. Robert [Pires] would make the run; take a breath, look.

“I would try to lift it and jump on my standing leg if I was close; if I was farther away, I would step in.”
