We have given Him the go ahead to join Man United, although our new deal proposal was rejected by Him, I’m really pained that such a great player like Him is leaving our club this way”, Club president Uli Hoeness broke down in tears during press conference as His £60m team key player have agreed summer move to join Manchester United this week

We’ve given Him the all clear to sign with Manchester United, but even though He turned down our offer of a new contract, I’m really sad that a player of his calibre is departing our team in this manner. This week, the club president stated that a crucial player worth £60 million had agreed to join Manchester United for the summer.

Uli Hoeness, the honorary president of Bayern Munich, has hinted that Matthijs de Ligt may depart the team this summer, specifically mentioning a potential move to Manchester United to team up with fellow Dutchman Erik ten Hag.

Hoeness also appeared to imply that it could be preferable to unload De Ligt rather than permit Dayot Upamecano to be the defender to depart the Allianz Arena, as cited in the post below by Fabrizio Romano.

As Romano previously informed us, De Ligt is still a possibility for Man Utd this summer. However, with the completion of their agreement to sign Leny Yoro from Lille, they must now prioritise sales before making any more acquisitions in order to ensure that their books are balanced and avoid facing penalties for Financial Fair Play violations.

After bringing in big-name acquisitions like Joao Palhinha and Michael Olise, Bayern may be eager to cash in on one or two players this summer, but it’s unclear if they’ll be selling De Ligt.

Even if the Netherlands international has taken a while to get going since joining the team following what turned out to be an equally lacklustre stint at Juventus, he could still be a valuable asset for the Bavarian powerhouses.

During their time together at Ajax, De Ligt played under United manager Ten Hag, and at that time, De Ligt was considered one of the best young players in global football.

The 24-year-old could use a little less chopping and changing in his life, so he’s reached a point in his career where he needs to consider his options carefully.

If it allows him to receive more guaranteed playing time than he probably would at Bayern, it might also be worthwhile.
