Breaking News: Man Utd primed to finalise transfer ‘today’ after Premier League rivals ‘agreement struck’

Reports state that West Ham United and Manchester United are now in an advanced stage of their negotiations to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The permanent move is reportedly being finalised by both teams today, which will soon make room for the third addition of the INEOS era.

The right-back’s unwillingness to leave United with less than a year left on his contract has hindered West Ham’s pursuit of Wan-Bissaka.

However, it seems that the Hammers have overcome that obstacle and are now pursuing his signing to extend an exciting summer transfer season.

A definitive deal is anticipated to be reached today, according to Sky Germany, and Wan-Bissaka’s London physical is scheduled for the next three days.

The 26-year-old is expected to sign a deal with West Ham that would last until 2030 after the two parties orally agreed on personal terms earlier this month.

He still has 10 months left on his current United contract, so the delay is probably due to a payout that his current club owes him for the balance of the contract.

Harry Maguire found himself in a similar circumstance following his summertime £30 million agreement with West Ham, which secured his stay at Old Trafford.

But Wan-Bissaka is expected to go, marking United’s seventh summertime senior sale following Alvaro Fernandez, Willy Kambwala, Donny van de Beek, and Mason Greenwood.

According to reports, West Ham is willing to spend up to £18 million for the former Crystal Palace defender, who moved to United for £50 million in 2019.

If the Red Devils were to pull out at that price, their net spending would be closer to £28.5 million and their player sales revenue would have increased to about £60 million.

Additionally, it would allow Noussair Mazraoui, the right-back for Bayern Munich, to finish his eagerly awaited arrival, following Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro through the Old Trafford arrivals room.

According to reports, he is available for about £15 million, and colleague Matthijs de Ligt may be able to sign him before the August 30 transfer deadline in the M16.

Wan-Bissaka was not included in Erik ten Hag’s travelling team for this afternoon’s Community Shield match at Wembley against Manchester City.

It was the clearest sign yet that he was going to be Julen Lopetegui’s most recent addition during his first summer in charge.

Jean-Clair Todibo, who has a £34 million buyout option, will be joining on a season-long loan from OGC Nice shortly. At the London Stadium, he and Wan-Bissaka will be the seventh and eighth newcomers.

Thus far, Lopetegui has spent little less than £120 million on players, such as Max Kilman, a centre-back for Wolves, Crysencio Summerville, a winger for Leeds United, and Niclas Fullkrug, a striker for Borussia Dortmund.

Along with Wes Foderingham of Sheffield United and Guido Rodriguez of Real Betis, Luis Guilherme also came on a free transfer from Palmeiras.
