Man United to complete three transfers worth £75m TODAY, with medicals completed and late complication solved
Later today, Manchester United will finalise the signings of players three and four, while the key transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham has been resolved despite some obstacles.
Man Utd acted fast to finalise agreements earlier in the window for Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee. But even after reaching amicable agreements with people like Manuel Ugarte, Matthijs De Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui, the flow of newcomers stopped.
Ugarte, a midfielder for PSG, was passed over by United after the Uruguayan’s €60 million asking price turned them down.
The double raid for Mazraoui and De Ligt on Bayern Munich, however, was still in action. Selling Wan-Bissaka first was a prerequisite for Mazraoui’s contract.
Negotiations made forward when Man Utd and West Ham agreed on a £15 million trade. Additionally, personal terms were resolved.
On Sunday night, nevertheless, David Ornstein disclosed that late issues arose on the player’s end.
However, the issue has recently turned out to be a small one, as Ornstein and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano have confirmed. Additionally, TEAMtalk has confirmed that the transfer is fully approved and prepared for completion.
Wan-Bissaka will therefore have a physical today (Monday) before agreeing to a five-year deal and become West Ham’s EIGHTH summer signing.
The following people have already joined Julen Lopetegui’s revolution: Wes Foderingham, Max Kilman, Guido Rodriguez, Luis Guilherme, Crysencio Summerville, and Niclas Fullkrug.
Former Manchester United target Jean-Clair Todibo signed as a seventh player after Hammers sporting director Tim Steidten pulled off a spectacular takeover of Juventus’ transfer.
De Ligt IN, Mazraoui and Wan-Bissaka OUT
Wan-Bissaka’s departure will allow 26-year-old Mazraoui to assume the right-back position.
He and De Ligt are scheduled to undergo medical examinations today. On Monday morning, they were observed arriving at an airport in Munich in preparation for their flight to England.
The total value of Mazraoui’s contract is €20m/£17.1m. After deducting add-ons, the total deal value comes to €15 million/£12.8 million.
The overall value of De Ligt’s contract is a larger €50 million/£42.7 million. The 24-year-old centre back’s contract is worth €45 million/£38.5 million plus further €5 million/£4.2 million.
In addition, Man Utd was able to negotiate acceptable conditions of payment for the Dutchman. Romano stated the €45 million guaranteed fee will be paid over a three-year period in installments.
De Ligt and Mazraoui have reached a five-year agreement with the potential for further seasons with the club.
There will be many more Man Utd moves.
There will be many more transfers to be finished at Old Trafford after the three aforementioned transactions are finalised.
Victor Lindelof, Casemiro, and Scott McTominay have all been given the all-clear to depart, according to Sky Germany.
Furthermore, Man Utd is genuinely preparing for the triple exit, according to their writer Florian Plettenberg.
Although the loss of Lindelof would be compensated by De Ligt’s arrival, Kobbie Mainoo would still need a new central midfield partner.
Man Utd had established connections with Youssouf Fofana (Monaco), Ederson (Atalanta), Richard Rios (Palmeiras), Adrien Rabiot (free agency), Sander Berge (Burnley), and Frenkie de Jong (Barcelona), to mention only six, after giving up on their chase of Ugarte.
Berge has confirmed his intention to join Manchester United, according to TEAMtalk. However, it is unclear if the Red Devils would make a bid of the £30 million Burnley is holding out for.
Other than Yoro, De Ligt might be the third centre back to join the team when it was announced that Yoro would miss at least three months due to a fractured metatarsal.
Mario Hermoso, 29, is a free agent who Man United is interested in, according to Fabrizio Romano. To make up for Yoro’s injury absence, a short-term contract for the former Atletico Madrid defender would make sense, possibly only for the 2024–2025 campaign.
