The players who had left Liverpool believed that their former team had done a fair job of securing £142 million for Philippe Coutinho, who was leaving for Barcelona.

Joey Barton claims that Liverpool got a better bargain.

Frank Lampard believed Liverpool had also received a “good” deal.
