“I chose to quit this club when Arteta refused to bench me… “I’m fed up”: Arsenal star descends on ONE specific player who consistently disappoints the club

Bukayo Saka sparked Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Southampton at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal were frustrated by the determined visitors in the first half, and they went down shortly after the interval when replacement Cameron Archer struck the bottom corner following a Saints attack.

The goal spurred an instant Arsenal reaction, with Saka stealing possession and feeding Kai Havertz, who finished well past Aaron Ramsdale to score for the sixth time in a row at home.

The reversal was completed when replacement Gabriel Martinelli scored Saka’s diagonal cross, despite a VAR probe for offside, before Saka capitalised on another Saints error to score Arsenal’s third and seal the triumph.

Between their second and third goals, Arsenal had to deal with some nerve-racking moments, with Tyler Dibling touching the post and a David Raya punch from a corner rebounding back onto the bar.

But Mikel Arteta’s side eventually won deservedly after taking 29 shots, leaving them a point behind leaders Liverpool and ensuring Southampton’s hunt for their first win of the season continues.
