“There’s a reason why our fans refer to me as the star boy, and that reason is because..”Bukayo Saka, an Arsenal player, BREAKS Robert Pires’ remarkable Premier League record—he now owns the greatest record for any individual Arsenal player in history

Bukayo Saka surpasses Robert Pires’ remarkable feat as Arsenal defeats Southampton in the Premier League.

Surprisingly, Southampton defeated Arsenal 1-0 on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium. But once more, Bukayo Saka was the one who turned the tide in his favor.

After seven Premier League games, Bukayo Saka has only failed to contribute to a goal in one match, which was last week’s matchup with Leicester City.

To clinch the Gunners all three points against Southampton, Arsenal’s number seven added three more goal contributions (one goal and two assists) to his already remarkable total.

Saka has seven assists in as many games this season, leading the Premier League assists chart. He was the player that his teammates looked to when Arsenal fell behind to tie the score. Again, Saka did not disappoint.

The 23-year-old is the man wearing the captain’s armband in Martin Odegaard’s absence, and it appears that the added responsibility has elevated his play in recent weeks.

With his two assists on Saturday, Bukayo Saka now has 42 assists in the Premier League altogether, according to TNT Sports on Instagram. With this accomplishment, he has now amassed more assists in 13 fewer games than Arsenal great Robert Pires.

Saka has now recorded 42 assists in 176 games for the Gunners, while the legendary Arsenal player totaled 41 assists over 189 outings.

A vital member of Arsenal’s 2003–04 Invincibles squad was Robert Pires. Finishing his career in North London, he won two FA Cups and two Premier League championships.

If Bukayo Saka wishes to share the Frenchman’s memory in terms of big prizes, he still has a ways to go. But with Saka at the center, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are unquestionably headed in the right direction.
