Erik ten Hag handed devastating injury blow on the eve of Man Utd’s crunch match against Brentford

Erik ten Hag has suffered a severe injury blow ahead of a pivotal series of games that could determine his future at Manchester United: a significant player will miss some time due to injury.
The Premier League returns this weekend following a two-week international break, and all eyes will be on United as manager Erik ten Hag continues to come under pressure to save his job.
In their first matchback since the break, the Red Devils will host Brentford on Saturday afternoon at Old Trafford in an attempt to turn around their season, which has seen them win just two of their first seven Premier League games.
United, however, has announced before to the game that one of its important players will be absent due to an unexpected injury.
Prior to United’s match against Brentford, a statement from the team stated that Kobbie Mainoo would likely miss “a few weeks” due to a muscle injury he suffered during the 0-0 draw with Aston Villa during the international break.
Due to the injury, the 19-year-old was forced to withdraw from the England team last week. According to some sources, Mainoo will now miss the team’s upcoming international break in November.
Should this be the case, the gifted young player could miss up to seven games, including crucial meetings in the Premier League against Chelsea, the Europa League against Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, and the EFL Cup round of 16 against Leicester City.
The team also disclosed that Harry Maguire will miss a few weeks due to a muscular issue he also suffered during the Aston Villa game.
The timing of the revelation could not be worse for Ten Hag, who is under growing pressure to perform well in his capacity as United manager.
Ten Hag was reportedly on his last chance after United’s humiliating 3-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford in September, according to rumors before to the international break.
After United’s defeat by Spurs, they drew their next two games against Porto and Aston Villa. However, according to recent sources, the Dutchman only has two games left to save his United career—against Brentford and Fenerbahce.
