When the transfer window reopens, Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim may look to bring in additional players because the team has not been very impressive so far this season.

As a result of the Red Devils’ struggles, the left wing-back position has become problematic. During the course of the role, Amorim has experimented with both Diogo Dalot and Tyrell Malacia.

Malacia has not performed any better than Dalot in terms of his positioning, while Dalot has been erratic with his positioning. It was decided to remove the latter from the matchday squad over the last weekend.

It has been reported by Fabrice Hawkins that Manchester United has made an offer for Nuno Mendes, who plays left back for Paris Saint-Germain. However, he does not provide any other information.

There is a possibility that Mendes will quit the team that now holds the title of Ligue 1 champion. Furthermore, he is of the opinion that the contract offer does not correlate to his position as a starter.

PSG has not given up on the possibility of retaining the Portuguese superstar and continues to harbor the hope that they will be able to convince him to sign a new contract that extends beyond June 2026.

United must make every effort to get a midseason contract for Mendes.

When it comes to the right wing-back position, the Red Devils have not encountered any difficulties, with Noussair Mazraoui and Amad Diallo particularly standing out with their performances under Amorim.

Over the course of his breakthrough at Sporting CP, he played as a left wing-back under Amorim, and there is a significant chance that he will be reunited with his current contract dispute.

Whether or if Les Parisiens would be willing to accept the loss of their treasured asset during the winter season is still a significant question.

Although the club did not prevent Manuel Ugarte from moving to Old Trafford during the summer of 2017, they may choose to hold onto Mendes until the conclusion of the current season before making a decision of any kind.

Sporting CP paid approximately £34 million to get the services of the 22-year-old player. In order to convince Les Parisiens to consider his departure, it might need between fifty and sixty million pounds.

Despite the fact that United is struggling financially because to their PSR worries, they need to demonstrate their ambition by making a midseason transfer. This may result in the departure of a few players that are on the first team.

There is a good chance that Marcus Rashford will be leaving the team in the following month. It is possible that United will require at least one more high-profile departure in addition to Mendes in order to afford him.
