Bad News: Celtic confirm another two more injuries after Alistair Johnston
Celtic have stated that two more players, in addition to Alistair Johnston, are injured and will be out for twelve weeks.
Alistair Johnston sustained an injury during the game against Kairat Almaty and had to be stretchered off. Celtic fans’ greatest fears have been realized, as the scope of the problem is now known. The Canadian international will be sidelined for twelve weeks, and the Hoops appear to be looking for a solution internally, despite media speculation that a new right-back will be signed.
Unfortunately, Celtic has received more awful news about injuries. Along with Johnston, it appears that two additional players are currently out due to injury.

Adam Idah is one of these individuals. He has struggled to deliver in recent weeks, and one wonders if the injury is to blame. The other is Auston Trusty, who appears to be behind Liam Scales in the pecking order and fears falling even further behind.
Brendan Rodgers, as quoted by The Celtic Way, stated when discussing Idah and Trusty’s injuries:
“Adam Idah is having trouble with his knee.”
“Auston Trusty could be out for a bit with the plantar fasciitis that he has had.”
Celtic have confirmed two more injuries after Alistair Johnston.
This is not good news for Celtic. They already have a paper-thin roster in several spots, and it is just becoming weaker with each passing day and each injury.
Take Idah as an example. Yes, we understand that he was suffering up top at the time. But do Celtic have a better choice there?
Shin Yamada has not impressed when given the opportunity, and the same can be said for Johnny Kenny as well. Neither of them appear to be prepared to lead the line for the Hoops.
Of course, one of the solutions is to position Daizen Maeda in the middle. There are two things, however. For starters, the Japanese forward has been out of form for some time and is not living up to the lofty expectations he set for himself last season. Second, Celtic’s wing depth is quite inadequate.
