Breaking News:Arsenal’s £55m star becomes top transfer target for Saudi club Al-Ahli

It was reported in July that Arsenal were very much open to offers.

Al-Ahli’s top summer transfer targets are reportedly Arsenal’s £55 million star forward Gabriel Jesus and Tottenham’s Richarlison.

According to Transfermarkt, Jesus’ current market worth is €65 million (£55 million), and Arsenal was believed to be open to proposals in May.

The Arsenal paid £45 million to sign Jesus from Manchester City in the summer of 2022, and the midfielder has struggled with injuries on and off.

Jesus, a Brazil international, has played 69 games for the north Londoners, scoring 19 goals and assisting 15 times in his two years at the Emirates.

He could potentially be on the move, as Saudi Pro League team Al-Ahli has identified Jesus and fellow Brazilian Richarlison as major targets for this summer.

According to rumours in Saudi Arabia, the country’s football teams have been paying players large sums of money to move from Europe to the Middle East.

Al-Ahli already has a number of superstars on its roster, including former Chelsea custodian Edouard Mendy and former Liverpool attacker Roberto Firmino.

Riyad Mahrez, a former Manchester City and Leicester City superstar, plays at Al-Ahli, as does Franck Kessie and Allan Saint-Maximin, a former Newcastle United player.

It remains to be seen what kind of price Arsenal would get for their 27-year-old star Jesus, since fan channel AFTV posted a video about it a few weeks ago.

he clip sees supporters debating how much Jesus would be worth – and the majority of comments suggested that his price should be around £40m-£60m.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was forced to strongly refute claims that Arsenal were open to offers for Jesus back in May.

‘I don’t know where this is coming from,’ the Spaniard said. ‘No. no.’

Jesus lost his place at the head of Arsenal’s attack to Kai Havertz last season, while the Gunners are well known to be in the market for a new striker.
