If Chelsea is compelled to dismiss Mauricio Pochettino before the conclusion of the season, they may contemplate appointing an unexpected candidate as their temporary manager.

Mauricio Pochettino is currently facing intense scrutiny due to Chelsea’s current position in the lower half of the table.

If the situation deteriorates further, the Blues may be compelled to terminate the employment of the 52-year-old individual. Journalist Simon Phillips suggests that if a certain event occurs, there is a possibility that former Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch may be considered as a potential candidate. Phillips was addressing the club’s managerial dilemma on his Substack platform.

Given the aforementioned factors, it is imperative for Pochettino to secure a victory tonight when Chelsea faces Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.

If Pochettino is fired, Jose Mourinho will be another option for hiring. The Portuguese manager is eager to return to coaching.
