“He threatened me to leave Arsenal or he’ll continue to injure me in every game”: Martin Odegaard says Chelsea star has threatened him to leave Arsenal and join them
Martin Odegaard is optimistic about his potential return to Arsenal following the international break and maintains that he was not compelled to withdraw from Norway’s matches this week.
Martin Odegaard was informed by the Norway Football Federation on Tuesday that he would not be participating in the November internationals, despite having travelled to Oslo shortly after Arsenal’s match against Chelsea.
Stale Solbakken, the manager of Norway, disclosed that Mikel Arteta had contacted him regarding his team commander. The decision was made after consulting with a variety of stakeholders.
However, Odegaard denied that Arsenal had exerted pressure on him to withdraw from the team during a media interview.
No. “We have engaged in a constructive and candid dialogue,” Odegaard maintained. “Since my injury, I have communicated with Stale (Solbakken).” We have both been eager to achieve this, which is also the reason I am in Norway.
