Head coach Ruben Amorim already has a ‘nickname’ among Manchester United players.
Amorim, 39, came to the club’s Carrington Training Centre on Monday and was received by various Red Devils officials, including sports director Dan Ashworth, CEO Omar Berrada, and technical director Jason Wilcox.
On the same day, he led training for the first time, with the Portuguese having just 10 senior players available owing to the ongoing international break.
As a result, numerous academy players participated in the session.
Marcus Rashford, Kobbie Mainoo, and Amad, who is reported to be impressing his new manager, were all part of the training team.
The former Sporting Club manager faces a difficult trip to Portman Road on Sunday, November 24, as he takes command of his debut game as United manager against Ipswich Town.
Fans have been paying careful attention to training footage ahead of the game, attempting to put together his likely starting lineup.
According to The Sun Sport, Amorim’s ‘Mourinho-style’ confidence has ‘blown the players away’.
“Even before Monday’s first session, the players were very impressed,” a source stated.
“Then, after the sessions, people are astounded by his enthusiasm, approach, and confidence.
“There are strong Mourinho vibes in the way he speaks and his self-belief, but his approach is unique.
“The players believe he’s accessible and will understand them. Some are calling him “Mourinho 2.0.”
